In new statements, Trump indicated that Iran wants to reach an agreement, but he expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of the negotiations, saying that he is "not satisfied" with the results so far, and that he is not satisfied with Tehran's latest proposal.
Tehran had announced yesterday that it had conveyed its latest proposal regarding negotiations with the American side via the Pakistani mediator.
Trump said: "We are conducting negotiations by phone," indicating that he is "not sure" an agreement will be reached.
Trump added that Washington "is doing everything regarding the negotiations" and continues its communications with the Pakistani side as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Regarding the internal situation in Iran, Trump said that Iranian leaders want to conclude an agreement, but they "are suffering from utter chaos as a result of internal disagreements," pointing to "great chaos and disagreement among the leadership in Iran," according to his expression.
The US President criticized the stances of a number of European countries, expressing his dissatisfaction with Italy and Spain, and considering that they treat the idea of Iran possessing a nuclear weapon as acceptable.
These statements come amidst ongoing tensions related to the Iranian nuclear file and the international negotiations underway concerning it, amid differing positions among the concerned parties.
