Trump Opens Fire on Spain Over 'New File' Igniting His Anger

On Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump launched a new attack on Spain over its approach to the migration issue, describing it as a country "with no control over its borders."

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: "It is deeply heartbreaking what is happening in Spain, a country that has no control over its borders."

Earlier, Trump had sharply criticized Spain, telling the British channel GB News that the influx of migrant crowds into the city of Ceuta at the end of July was a "invasion of a country," claiming that events at the Ceuta border reflected a failure in managing migration, and adding that Spain "will become a bankrupt country."

Earlier this month, Ceuta and several other Spanish cities witnessed massive protests involving hundreds of thousands of citizens demanding that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s government take action against illegal immigration, following the flow of migrants into Ceuta.

The events in Ceuta have caused serious concern across Europe, with several European Union officials criticizing Spain’s migration policy.

On Friday, authorities from several EU member states, including Italy, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Denmark, called for the temporary suspension of Spain’s membership in the Schengen Area.
