Trump Settles the Debate: No Strike on Iran Today Despite Tensions
US President Donald Trump stated that the United States will not strike Iran today, dismissing recent speculation and reports of prepared military options.

US President Donald Trump announced in response to journalists that the United States will not carry out a strike on Iran today.
Trump had commented last Friday on statements by US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack regarding bombing Iran over the weekend. He neither denied nor confirmed the ambassador's claims, merely stating that he "knows nothing about it."
This comes during a period of serious escalation in the Iranian file, as The New York Times reported on October 8 that the US military, under the direction of President Donald Trump, had prepared options for resuming large-scale combat operations against Iran based on an intensive campaign lasting three days.
