Donald Trump estimates Iran has lost 78% of its missiles, retaining about 21-22%, following US attacks during the conflict.

In an interview aired early Saturday, former US President Donald Trump revealed his assessment of the remaining Iranian missiles and drones after the strikes launched by Washington against Tehran during the war.
Speaking to NBC News, Trump stated that Iran still possesses approximately 21-22% of its missile arsenal. He added, "We know exactly the number and locations of the remaining Iranian missiles, drones, and their factory sites."
He further explained, "We destroyed the entire Iranian military. They have some missiles and drones left. I would say, in percentage terms, maybe 21-22% of their missiles. That is a large number, but it is not what it was initially when we attacked them."
Trump also noted in the interview that the war with Iran is "accelerating," despite the initial timeline he announced, which ranged between four to six weeks. Nearly 100 days have passed since the United States and Israel began their strikes.
He said, "I am accelerating the pace. Three months have passed. The Vietnam War lasted 19 years. I am now in my third month." This clip was released ahead of the full interview scheduled for broadcast on Sunday.
Trump's remarks come as American and Iranian leaders continue negotiations to end the war, which entered its fourth month last week.
So far, Trump has not reached a preliminary agreement with Iran. Meanwhile, Tehran launched drones toward the Strait of Hormuz early Saturday, prompting US forces to respond with airstrikes on Iranian radar sites. This development has raised questions about the potential future of any agreement between the two sides.
