Trump: We have begun the process of imposing a blockade on Iran and will be compensated by 20% on all transported shipments

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday the re-imposition of the blockade on Iran, confirming that the process has begun immediately, according to what was reported by "Reuters".

Trump said that America will be the "protector of the Strait of Hormuz" but will be compensated by 20% on all transported shipments, stressing that the Strait of Hormuz is open and will remain open whether with or without Iran.

This comes after statements by the Iranian military leadership (Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters) in which it announced that "Tehran will not allow America to control the Strait of Hormuz."

Trump had confirmed yesterday, Sunday, that the Strait of Hormuz is open to commercial navigation, despite the continued exchange of attacks between the United States and Iran.
