Trump: Xi Agrees to Purchase 200 Boeing Aircraft
President Trump announced that China’s Xi Jinping agreed to buy 200 Boeing planes, calling it a major boost for the US manufacturer.

A massive order for 200 American Boeing aircraft is heading to China, according to US President Donald Trump, who stated on Thursday that his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, has approved the deal. The announcement came during a television interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, held on the sidelines of Trump’s ongoing visit to Beijing.
Trump described the order as a significant boost for Boeing, noting that the company had initially hoped to sell 150 planes but negotiations yielded a higher number. “Among the things he (Xi) agreed to is placing an order to buy 200 aircraft. This is huge for Boeing,” Trump said during the interview. No official confirmation from the Chinese side has been issued so far regarding Trump’s statement.
Meeting Details and Visit
During the interview, Trump touched on his meeting with the Chinese president, saying they discussed various issues and describing the talks as “going very well.” He added that the US had submitted several requests to the Chinese side, including the aircraft deal.
Accompanying Trump on his China visit are Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg and a broad delegation of political advisors and representatives from US companies. The visit included bilateral meetings and delegation-level talks with Chinese officials. Trump also highlighted the deal’s positive impact on the job market, stating, “This means providing a very large number of jobs.”
