Ten Turkish nationals suspected of belonging to ISIS were detained in Syria in a joint operation by Turkish and Syrian intelligence, Agence France-Presse reported.

Nine of the ten suspects, who were subject to Interpol red notices, were transferred to Turkey, according to Anadolu Agency and the Turkish public broadcaster TRT.

One of them is suspected of links to the perpetrators of the attack outside Ankara train station in late 2015, which killed more than 100 people. Two others are accused of planning or taking part in attacks against Turkish soldiers deployed in northern Syria.

Turkish state media said the ten suspects joined ISIS in Syria between 2014 and 2017, without specifying where or when they were detained.
