US Imposes New Sanctions on Iranian Exchange Companies and Shipping Network
The United States has sanctioned several Iranian exchange firms, affiliated individuals, front companies, and 19 vessels involved in circumventing international sanctions and funding Tehran's destabilizing activities across the Middle East.

The United States announced fresh sanctions targeting multiple currency exchange companies linked to the Iranian regime, along with associated individuals and front companies. The measures also include 19 ships collectively used to help Iran evade international sanctions and finance its destabilizing operations throughout the Middle East.
This action is part of the “Economic Fury” campaign aimed at dismantling Iran’s parallel financial system and illicit shipping activities. These operations facilitate the transfer of billions of dollars annually from Iran’s oil and petrochemical sales, directly supporting the regime’s military efforts and its proxies in the region.
A key target of the sanctions is Amin Exchange, one of Iran’s major currency exchange firms. Amin Exchange operates through a network of shell companies based in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, and Hong Kong. These entities are used to launder money for Iranian banks and state-owned firms already under sanctions.
By disrupting these financial channels, the United States seeks to cut off resources that the Iranian regime uses to threaten regional stability, back terrorist organizations, and advance its weapons programs.
This move underscores the U.S. commitment to maintaining “maximum economic pressure” on Iran until the regime ceases its malign activities.
The administration of President Donald Trump will continue holding Iran accountable and countering its dangerous and destabilizing conduct. As part of the “Economic Fury” campaign, the U.S. plans to intensify economic pressure on Iran and the international networks that support its illicit energy trade.
In a related effort, the U.S. State Department’s Rewards for Justice program is offering up to $15 million for information leading to the disruption of the financial mechanisms of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and its various branches.
