US Military Concludes Strikes on Iranian Naval and Defense Sites

The United States Central Command declared early Tuesday that a new series of strikes against Iran concluded at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

American forces targeted Iranian military command centers, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as air defense systems. These operations aimed to undermine Iran's ability to continue attacks on commercial vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz.

In its statement, the command confirmed that commercial ship traffic through the strait remains ongoing. Since the beginning of May, US forces have assisted in securing the passage of approximately 900 commercial ships carrying 450 million barrels of crude oil.

The command emphasized that US forces remain prepared to hold Iran accountable for any unjustified aggression against civilian mariners seeking free and open passage through the strait.
