The US military reported on Saturday that Iran launched seven ballistic missiles aimed at Kuwait and Bahrain. This occurred hours after US forces shot down four Iranian attack drones heading toward the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, the US Central Command announced it intercepted several Iranian ballistic missiles and drones launched toward the Strait of Hormuz and neighboring countries.

Simultaneously, the Kuwaiti Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed they were responding to hostile attacks involving missiles and attack drones, while Bahrain’s Ministry of Defense reported the activation of air raid sirens.

The US Central Command, known as CENTCOM, shared a video on its X platform showing the strikes carried out by US forces against Iranian positions.

CENTCOM stated that initial assessments indicate six of the missiles launched by Iran were intercepted, while the seventh missile did not reach its intended target. The command confirmed no US personnel were injured.

The Central Command also denied Iranian claims that damage was inflicted on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, describing those allegations as "baseless," according to the US statement.

Furthermore, CENTCOM reported that US forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal radar monitoring sites in Guruk and Qeshm Island as part of defensive strikes in response to maritime attacks.

The command emphasized that US Central Command forces remain vigilant and prepared to continue responding to any unjustified Iranian aggression in self-defense, as stated in the official release.

In contrast, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced it attacked US bases in the region in retaliation for previous US strikes and fired upon four tankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz without its authorization.

The Revolutionary Guard, in a statement carried by the Iranian Tasnim news agency, described the US strikes by noting that US drones targeted a communications station in Qeshm and another in Sirik with projectiles at dawn.

US forces downed four drones near the Strait of Hormuz and launched strikes against Iran.
