US Secretary Rubio Says Iran Faces Major Dilemma, China Has Not Altered War Course

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared on Wednesday that Iran is currently facing a major dilemma. He added that China has not taken any measures that would alter the course of the war involving Iran, and at times, China has been cooperative.

Rubio made these remarks to reporters following a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in Manila, which lasted approximately 90 minutes.

He also mentioned that during the meeting, they discussed the planned visit of President Xi Jinping to the United States.

Rubio noted that although there are disagreements between the two sides, their task is to manage these differences, and there are potential areas for cooperation.

Previously, Rubio affirmed that the United States remains open to dialogue with Iran and is prepared to negotiate to resolve disputes, but he accused Tehran of lacking seriousness in the negotiations.

During a meeting with his counterparts from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Manila, he stated: "If they are serious, we are serious. If they are not, we will take the necessary actions to protect our interests and those of our allies."
