The US Central Command announced it carried out a fresh series of offensive strikes against Iran on Wednesday, targeting over 80 locations with precision munitions. This operation was an immediate response to recent Iranian attacks on commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Through its account on the platform X, Central Command (Centcom) released a video documenting the strikes executed by US forces on multiple targets within Iran, including several docked boats.

Centcom stated in an accompanying release that its forces targeted Iranian air defense systems, command and control networks, coastal radar sites, anti-ship missile capabilities, and more than 60 small boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guard in and near the strait.

The Central Command indicated that this new wave of US strikes aimed to undermine Iran's ability to continue attacking international trade traffic navigating this vital commercial passage.

Centcom described Iran's targeting of three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz as an unjustified aggression and a severe, blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, undermining freedom of navigation.

At the same time, the US Central Command confirmed that its forces remain prepared to hold Iran accountable if it fails to comply with or adhere to the agreement, without specifying the nature of potential measures to be taken in such a case.
