The B-52H Stratofortress bombers operated by the US Air Force have departed from the Fairford airbase in the United Kingdom, concluding a mission intended to support the military campaign against Iran, according to the TWZ website.
Local photographers reported that the bombers left the base, marking the end of a deployment that began with the onset of the conflict on February 28.
In March, the airbase hosted four American bombers—two B-52H models and two B-1B Lancer aircraft—that carried out combat sorties as part of the military operation targeting Iran.
