The U.S. Central Command announced over 20 American warships are currently deployed in the Middle East to support military operations, including enforcing a strict blockade on Iran.
The U.S. Central Command "Sicom," announced today Monday, that more than twenty American warships are currently deployed in the Middle East to support military missions, including strictly enforcing the blockade imposed on Iran.
Sicom shared via its account on the X platform an image of American sailors standing on the bridge of the destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) during surveillance operations, noting that "Ross" is one of the ships participating in blockade activities.
The Central Command stated it has redirected 55 commercial vessels by August 9, impeded two vessels, and inspected two others to verify compliance with blockade measures.
