Wide GPS Signal Disruptions and Spoofing Reported in Tehran
Tehran is currently experiencing widespread GPS disruptions and navigation signal spoofing, affecting location accuracy across the city.

Reports on Wednesday indicate that Tehran, the capital of Iran, is undergoing extensive disturbances in global positioning system (GPS) services, alongside incidents of navigation signal manipulation known as "spoofing."
The Iranian news agency "Urgent News" stated that these disruptions are impacting the precision of navigation and location signals, potentially causing inaccurate data to appear on some satellite-dependent devices and systems.
It was clarified that the GPS service interruptions in Tehran range from mild to moderate and are sporadic, with no complete outages reported.
According to monitoring results, satellite signals remain accessible in parts of the city; however, the accuracy of location determination may fluctuate and experience varying degrees of instability across different areas. No official explanations have been issued yet regarding the causes of these disruptions.
This situation coincides with ongoing U.S. military strikes against Iran following the downing of an American military helicopter by an Iranian drone near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi denied his country's involvement in the attack on the U.S. Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that the incident might have resulted from the heightened tensions in the region.
The Iranian official stated that the possibility of such unintended incidents remains amid the escalation and tension in the Strait of Hormuz, adding, "There is no deliberate targeting by Iran of the American helicopter over the strait."
Additionally, unofficial reports have indicated that Iranian airspace is currently devoid of any flight activity, although no official confirmation has been released by relevant authorities.
According to Axios, the recent U.S. strikes targeted Iranian air defense systems in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz.
