ADNOC Gas Signs 5-Year LNG Supply Deal with TotalEnergies
ADNOC Gas has signed a five-year agreement to supply up to 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas annually to TotalEnergies.

ADNOC Gas PLC, listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, announced on Tuesday that it has finalized a five-year contract with TotalEnergies for the delivery of up to 1.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The agreement builds upon the existing long-term strategic partnership between the two energy giants. According to a press release obtained by 24, the deal underscores continued confidence in ADNOC Gas’s reliable supply chain and its established track record of meeting delivery obligations.
Executive Perspectives on Growth
Fatema Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Gas, highlighted the sustained global demand for LNG. She stated that the company possesses significant capabilities and a leading position that enable it to capitalize on this market growth.
Al Nuaimi noted that the contract reinforces the strength of ADNOC Gas’s LNG business, the competitiveness of its supply offerings, and its ability to forge long-term partnerships. These collaborations are designed to support expansion, enhance operational flexibility, and generate sustainable value for shareholders.
Integrated Global Trading Platform
This development coincides with ADNOC’s ongoing efforts to develop its recently launched global platform for marketing and trading LNG. The integrated commercial hub combines the LNG marketing activities of both ADNOC Gas and XRG with the trading capabilities of ADNOC Commercial.
The platform represents the next phase in ADNOC Gas’s evolution, solidifying its status as a world-class LNG supplier. It provides access to a broader and more diverse portfolio of LNG, enabling the company to offer flexible supply solutions tailored specifically to customer needs.
Ambitious 2030 Volume Targets
By 2030, the new platform aims to market and trade 47 million tonnes of LNG annually. This target positions the entity to become one of the most significant platforms in the sector globally, contributing to Abu Dhabi’s establishment as a central hub for energy product trading.
Stéphane Michel, Head of Gas, Renewables & Power at TotalEnergies, described the signing as a crucial advancement in the decades-long partnership between the two firms. He affirmed the commitment to strengthening long-term cooperation.
Michel emphasized that ADNOC Gas’s strategic location between Europe and Asia will help cement TotalEnergies’ standing as a premier global provider of LNG portfolios through these new supply streams.
Strategic Partnership and Future Capacity
TotalEnergies remains a major shareholder and strategic partner in ADNOC Gas. The current agreement supports the company’s ambitions for sustainable long-term growth while it continues to expand its LNG operations and presence in international markets.
ADNOC Gas is poised to leverage growing global demand following the anticipated significant increase in production capacity from the Ruais LNG project. This expansion further strengthens its position as a reliable global supplier of this essential resource.
