Record-high diesel prices in the United States surpassed the $6 per gallon threshold on Friday, fueled by the war in the Middle East, rising crude oil prices, and Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries.

The average price per gallon (3.78 liters) reached $6.06, surpassing this symbolic milestone for the first time, according to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA).
