Gold prices rose 0.3% to $4,388.62 per ounce in early Asian trading Monday, supported by a weaker dollar and new U.S. economic data tempering expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike next month.

Gold prices edged higher at the start of Asian market trading on Monday, buoyed by a decline in the U.S. dollar and fresh economic data that dampened forecasts for an interest rate increase by the U.S. Federal Reserve next month.
The spot price of gold climbed 0.3% to $4,388.62 per ounce as of 00:28 GMT. Meanwhile, December-delivery U.S. gold futures advanced 0.2% to $4,444.30 per ounce.
