AC Milan Plans €12 Million Offer to Hire Al-Ahli Coach Matthias Jaissle
AC Milan is reportedly preparing a €12 million offer to secure Matthias Jaissle from Al-Ahli for the upcoming season.

Italian media outlets have revealed significant developments regarding AC Milan's ongoing negotiations with the entourage of Matthias Jaissle, the German head coach of Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli, to take over the team for the next season.
Jaissle, aged 38, has achieved notable success with Al-Ahli, including winning the AFC Champions League Elite twice consecutively in 2025 and 2026, establishing himself among the club’s most successful coaches.
Reports close to AC Milan indicate that the club's management has allocated a substantial sum to persuade Jaissle to lead the team in the upcoming campaign.
Vito Angeli, a journalist specializing in AC Milan coverage, stated, "Milan faces an obstacle in its pursuit of Matthias Jaissle. According to a highly reliable source close to Al-Ahli, the club has no intention of releasing Jaissle."
Sources also revealed that any club interested in appointing Jaissle would be required to pay a financial compensation close to €12 million.
Jaissle assumed the head coach position at Al-Ahli in July 2023 and guided the team to a third-place finish in the Saudi Professional League during his first season.
In the 2024–2025 season, Jaissle secured his first titles with Al-Ahli by winning the AFC Champions League in May 2025 for the club’s first-ever time, followed by the Saudi Super Cup.
In September 2025, Al-Ahli officially announced the renewal of Jaissle’s contract for two additional seasons until June 2027, with an option to extend for a third season until 2028.
It is also noted that AC Milan dismissed their coach Massimiliano Allegri after he failed to secure a Champions League qualifying spot for the next season.
