Diego Simeone, the head coach of Atletico Madrid, hinted that Julian Alvarez has already made up his mind regarding his future away from the club. His comments came after Atletico's final match of the season on Sunday evening.

Simeone stated, "This is not about me, but about Julian. He is mature enough to know what he will do. I think he has already made his decision."

Atletico Madrid suspects that Alvarez is inclined to request a transfer this summer, according to journalist Pedro Fulana during an interview on Cadena SER radio.

Fulana explained, "They believe he wants to leave. They understand that Julian and his agents have given the green light to discuss his future away from the club."

He added that Barcelona, prioritizing a striker position following Robert Lewandowski's departure, has already contacted Atletico. However, Barcelona is aware that any deal would require a substantial fee.

Fulana remarked, "It will be a long summer. Gil Marin wants him to stay, but he sets the price and does not want to let the player go cheaply. He wants a large transfer fee."

Fulana also confirmed that Barcelona is not the only club interested. Influential intermediaries from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have also inquired about the possibility of signing the Argentine forward, indicating that Alvarez and his agents have opened discussions about his future.

Journalist Miguel Martin Talavera highlighted a critical factor that could facilitate negotiations: Atletico's urgent need for financial liquidity.

He said, "Mateo Alemani knows that Apollo will invest only a little, so Julian's departure could bring in significant funds to strengthen the squad with a reliable left-back, one or two defenders, and at least one midfielder."
