Barcelona is actively pursuing significant summer signings, supported by financial adjustments freeing up to 40 million euros in salaries.

Barcelona is intensifying its efforts to secure major signings in the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to strengthen its squad with the goal of reclaiming the UEFA Champions League title, which has eluded the club since the 2014-2015 season.
The club is close to finalizing a deal for Newcastle United's Anthony Gordon, with the transfer fee expected to reach 70 million pounds. Barcelona is targeting key reinforcements for both the defense and the striker positions during the summer market.
Among the players linked to Barcelona are Argentine forward Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid and Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol from Manchester City. German journalist Florian Plattenberg revealed insights into Barcelona's current financial capacity to acquire significant players, following communication with the club's management.
Plattenberg stated, "I contacted Barcelona officials and asked them to explain the situation. The truth is that the club will first free itself from very large salaries." He added that with Robert Lewandowski's departure and the potential exit of Marcus Rashford if retention efforts fail, the club will save approximately 40 million euros in wages from these two players alone.
The journalist also noted that Barcelona has not completed any major signings since acquiring Lewandowski in the summer of 2022. In recent years, the club's notable transfers included Dani Olmo for 70 million euros, Eric Garcia for 20 million euros, and Victor Roque for 20 million euros. The club has relied heavily on loan deals to strengthen the team in recent seasons.
Plattenberg quoted club insiders saying, "Don't worry, we currently have enough money," emphasizing the club's intention to pursue new signings aggressively. He concluded by reiterating that the primary objective remains winning the Champions League and that the club has saved funds in recent transfer periods.
