Brazil Extends Ancelotti's Contract Through 2030 World Cup
The Brazilian Football Confederation renewed Carlo Ancelotti's contract, keeping him as head coach until the 2030 World Cup.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Thursday that Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti will remain in charge of the national team through the 2030 World Cup finals. The decision underscores the federation's commitment to the technical project led by the veteran coach since he took over in May 2025.
In an official statement, the CBF explained that the contract extension was driven by the recent period of technical stability under Ancelotti, as well as the significant trust he has earned within Brazilian football circles and among fans. The new deal grants the Italian coach the opportunity to lead Brazil through a full cycle culminating in the 2030 tournament, continuing efforts to restore the five-time world champions to the pinnacle of international football.
Since I arrived in Brazil, I have understood the value of football for this people. We worked throughout the past year to bring the team back to the top, but our ambition does not stop. We want more victories and more development. I am very happy to continue this journey until the 2030 World Cup.
"I thank the Brazilian Football Confederation for their great trust, and I also thank the Brazilian fans for the wonderful reception and continuous support," Ancelotti said in remarks following the extension announcement.
CBF President Samir Zaud described the renewal as "historic," stating that Ancelotti's continued leadership is a key step within the plan to develop Brazilian football and boost the competitiveness of national teams in the coming years. Vice President Gustavo Dias also praised the Italian coach's work, emphasizing that a relationship built on trust and stability was the most important factor in reaching the extension agreement through 2030.
