Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, has launched a fiery denial against accusations from Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, dismissing claims that the league secretly financed the media outlet "Relevo" to target the club. In a social media post, Tebas labeled the allegations part of a "new film" being circulated.

The relationship between La Liga and Relevo was purely a commercial partnership involving a "Fantasy" game, Tebas explained, insisting the league made money from the deal rather than spending it. "Not only did we not finance Relevo, but the exact opposite happened—La Liga generated revenue from this relationship. It's amazing how documents always ruin conspiracy narratives," he stated.

Tebas added that Real Madrid had access to these financial accounts for several seasons, and that Spain's Higher Sports Council reviewed all agreements with various media organizations, including Grupo Prisa, Unidad Editorial, El Chiringuito, Prensa Ibérica, Grupo Godó, and Vocento/Relevo.

Concluding his remarks, Tebas delivered a direct message to Florentino Pérez: "The result was clear: there is no hidden financing, no operation against Real Madrid. Florentino, it seems you haven't been getting good advice lately. Either you're not telling the truth, or someone is feeding you false information, and frankly, it's become hard to tell which is worse."

The La Liga chief demanded Pérez stop making accusations, saying: "Enough inventions and lies. Some people always live with a victim and conspiracy mentality, believing everyone is against them. The real Florentino showed himself on Tuesday, revealing his personality and how he treats others—everyone should judge that for themselves."
