Fraudulent Traffic Violation Messages... Security Forces Warn: Beware These Texts
The Internal Security Forces warn citizens about fraudulent SMS messages claiming traffic violations and demanding fines via suspicious links.

Issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security - Public Relations Section, the following statement:
Many citizens are receiving text messages (SMS) on their mobile phones, allegedly from the General Directorate of Internal Security, claiming a traffic violation due to speeding, including a violation number, date, and reference to the current traffic law.
These messages also include an electronic link requesting payment of the fine.

Therefore, the General Directorate urges recipients not to click on the mentioned link or enter any personal or banking information through it, as this could expose accounts and bank cards to the risk of data and financial theft.
