Jorge Mendes Returns to Real Madrid Alongside Mourinho

Real Madrid is preparing to enter a new phase in its history.

The renowned Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes has reemerged at Real Madrid alongside coach Jose Mourinho, as reported by a Spanish journalist.

José Félix Díaz, a prominent Madrid-based journalist for "AS," stated on Sunday that Mendes had not been completely detached from the club but had maintained a somewhat distant position regarding the team's current affairs.

Jorge Mendes' Role in Real Madrid Transfers

Díaz explained, "Although Mendes's relationship with Mourinho is no longer as strong and intense as it once was, he was the key figure and main pillar in facilitating the agreement between Florentino Pérez and Mourinho for the coach's return."

He added, "From now on, it is clear that Jorge Mendes will have a greater involvement in Real Madrid's transfer market. Discussions are ongoing about several players. It is important to remember that everything began with Mendes proposing the possibility of signing Mourinho, as well as the Bernardo Silva deal, which is currently on hold since Real Madrid does not appear interested in it at this time."

Díaz further noted, "What is certain is that names of many other players will start to emerge, as Mendes is among the major agents who typically finalize deals."
