Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich will back Arsenal in the Champions League final, hoping teammate Kai Havertz secures victory to boost Germany's World Cup prospects.

Joshua Kimmich has stated his intention to support Arsenal in the upcoming Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain. The Bayern Munich midfielder’s backing centers on his Germany teammate Kai Havertz, who plays for Arsenal and aims to win the prestigious European club competition.
Although Bayern Munich was eliminated by PSG in the semi-finals, Kimmich clarified that his support for Arsenal is not driven by any animosity toward the French club. Instead, his focus is on Havertz achieving success on one of European football’s biggest stages.
Kimmich expressed that a Champions League victory for Havertz would be beneficial for the German national team ahead of their World Cup preparations. He said, "I wish Kai success so that he can join us after success. Such a title brings positive energy."
Additionally, Kimmich addressed the perception of Havertz within Germany, noting that despite Havertz’s accomplishments abroad, he is often undervalued by German fans and media. He praised Havertz’s versatility and technical skills, emphasizing his importance to the national squad.
"He is an extremely important player for us and is underrated in Germany. At the Euros he was decisive, because he brings a fantastic overall package that will help us," Kimmich stated.
As the Champions League final approaches, all eyes will be on Havertz and Arsenal as they face PSG to claim Europe’s top club prize. Kimmich and the German national team will observe the outcome closely, anticipating that Havertz’s success could inject confidence and momentum into Germany’s World Cup campaign.
