Lens beat Nice 3-1 to win French Cup
Lens won the French Cup for the first time in its history after a 3-1 victory over Nice in Friday’s final at Stade de France.

Lens captured the French Cup for the first time in its history on Friday night, defeating Nice 3-1 in the current 2025-2026 final at Stade de France. The match was played without Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdel Monem.
Florian Thauvin opened the scoring for Lens in the 26th minute, before Odsonne Edouard doubled the lead in the 42nd minute. Nice pulled one back through Gabrel Koulibaly in first-half stoppage time, 45+3, but Abdullah Sima restored Lens’s two-goal cushion in the 78th minute.
Lens finished the current French league season in second place, behind champions Paris Saint-Germain. Nice ended the competition in 16th place with 32 points.
