Lewandowski hints at Saudi move as Barcelona exit nears
Robert Lewandowski is ready to leave Barcelona at season's end, with Saudi Arabia his likely destination, according to Polish reports.

Robert Lewandowski is on the verge of leaving Barcelona and could announce his departure within the week, according to Polish media reports cited by Spanish outlet Sport. The veteran striker is reportedly leaning toward a move to Saudi Arabia after receiving offers through his agent, Pini Zahavi.
The 37-year-old Polish international may bid farewell to Barcelona fans in the final home match of the La Liga season against Real Betis at Camp Nou in matchday 37. The club has not yet been officially informed of his decision, but sources expect Lewandowski to make his intentions clear before the campaign ends.
Sporting reasons, not financial
Journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk, described as very close to Lewandowski's inner circle, told Polish media that the striker's decision is not motivated by money but by purely sporting considerations. The forward reportedly wants to join a project where he can be a clear protagonist rather than play a secondary role.
After this final stretch of the season, Lewandowski has realized he would have a completely secondary role in Hansi Flick's project at Barcelona, sources told Sport. He prefers to step aside and continue his career elsewhere. The decision is described as carefully considered, as he and his family have been very happy in Barcelona and the city, and his priority had always been to stay.
Open to a less demanding league
Lewandowski has already opened the door to playing in a lower-level league after winning La Liga with Barcelona. "I will listen to some other offers and then decide. There may be an opportunity in a less demanding league. I am about to turn 38, but I feel in good physical shape, so I am considering a dual option. I have to think about the possibility that this is the right time to play and enjoy life. Maybe this opportunity will arise, and I won't reject it," he said.
Offers from Saudi Arabia have arrived through agent Pini Zahavi, who spent recent days in Barcelona speaking directly with Lewandowski to study all possible scenarios. In Saudi Arabia, the striker could not only maintain his current salary but increase it significantly, and he could secure a contract for at least two years. The offers on the table are described as very tempting.
Lewandowski remains a target for MLS side Chicago Fire, and Porto also tried to convince him in recent days. However, according to sources in Poland, the striker is currently leaning toward the Saudi offers.
