Liverpool Bids Farewell to Mohamed Salah with Private Dinner

Liverpool Football Club organized a small farewell dinner for Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson at a popular restaurant in the city center, according to the Liverpool Echo. The event marks the end of an era as Salah prepares to leave Anfield at the conclusion of the current season.

The Egyptian international is closing the curtain on a historic nine-year stint with the Reds, a period that saw him secure two Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League trophy, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, as well as the FA Cup and the League Cup. His 257 goals for the club place him third on Liverpool's all-time scoring list, behind only legends Roger Hunt and Ian Rush, a testament to his immense impact during one of the club's most successful periods.

The dinner took place on Tuesday evening at the well-known "Bacaro" restaurant on Castle Street in central Liverpool. The Echo reported that the club had booked the entire venue for the occasion. Manager Arne Slot was in attendance alongside Robertson and Salah, with a number of players and coaching staff also present. The atmosphere was celebratory, with a DJ providing music as the evening unfolded.

Attendees made a point of bidding Salah farewell in recognition of his contributions to the team. Slot left the venue later in the evening, greeted by a small group of fans who had gathered to take photos and request autographs. The celebrations continued inside the restaurant, creating a night filled with emotion and memorable moments for the Liverpool squad.

Salah's departure comes with one year still remaining on his official contract with the club. Looking ahead, he is set to represent Egypt at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will feature 48 teams for the first time. The draw placed Egypt in Group Seven alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
