Manchester United plans to keep Diogo Dalot despite interest from top European clubs including Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Diogo Dalot has attracted attention from major European clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, yet Manchester United intends to retain the Portuguese right-back.
Michael Carrick, currently managing Manchester United on an interim basis, has dismissed rumors about Dalot's potential transfer. Reports indicate that Carrick has clearly expressed to the club that Dalot remains a key part of his long-term strategy at Old Trafford.
Since Carrick took over in January, Dalot's performances have improved, reinforcing the decision to keep him as Carrick prepares to assume the managerial role permanently.
Jose Mourinho reportedly aims to sign Dalot for Real Madrid once he officially becomes the club's manager. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also shown interest in acquiring the 27-year-old defender.
Real Madrid is considering Dalot as a potential replacement for Dani Carvajal, who has been with the club for many years. However, any transfer would likely require a substantial offer.
Dalot is contracted with Manchester United until June 2028. Given his importance to the squad, the club might consider extending his contract further if he wishes to continue his career at Old Trafford.
