Napoli, the Italian Serie A runner-up, has officially announced the departure of their head coach Antonio Conte after two seasons with the club. This was confirmed in an official statement released by the club.

The club expressed its appreciation for Conte and his coaching staff, stating that the contracts were mutually terminated earlier than originally planned. Napoli thanked the coach and his team for the excellent work accomplished and wished them success in their future professional challenges. The statement concluded with "Thank you, Mister!"

During his time at Napoli, Conte secured the Serie A title for the 2025 season, marking the fourth league title in his career. The team finished second in the current season and also won the recent Italian Super Cup. However, Napoli was eliminated from this year's UEFA Champions League during the group stage.

According to Italian media reports, Conte is considered a candidate to become the head coach of the Italian national team, which will miss the FIFA World Cup finals for the third consecutive time.

Radio Monte Carlo reported that Napoli is in advanced talks with Massimiliano Allegri as a potential successor to Conte. Allegri was dismissed from his role as AC Milan coach following a disastrous season, where Milan finished fifth and failed to qualify for the Champions League after a 1-2 home loss to Cagliari in the final round of the season.
