The dossier, reportedly spanning 500 pages, was delivered to UEFA's headquarters in Nyon and contains what Madrid officials describe as clear evidence of systemic corruption affecting La Liga outcomes over two decades. Included in the document is a detailed season-by-season analysis of points that Real Madrid claim were unfairly taken from them due to biased refereeing decisions.
Perez has publicly asserted that Barcelona has deprived Real Madrid of between 16 and 18 points in the current season alone. The club is urging UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin to impose sanctions beyond fines or temporary suspensions, advocating for the unprecedented action of annulling Barcelona's past domestic titles.
UEFA had previously paused its investigation into the Negreira case to allow Spanish judicial proceedings to unfold. However, the arrival of Real Madrid’s dossier has brought the issue back to the forefront of UEFA's agenda. Ceferin has characterized the case as one of the most serious he has encountered since his involvement in football began in 2023.
Recent discussions involving Perez, Ceferin, and FIFA president Gianni Infantino are understood to have laid the groundwork for this formal legal challenge. Despite the pressure, UEFA has not yet confirmed whether it possesses the authority or willingness to revoke domestic championships retroactively. The organization remains vigilant and has not closed its investigation into Barcelona.
