Roma Secures Donny Malen Transfer from Aston Villa Until 2030
Roma has completed the permanent signing of Dutch striker Donny Malen from Aston Villa, with a contract extending through June 2030.

Italian club Roma confirmed on Tuesday the permanent acquisition of Dutch forward Donny Malen from English side Aston Villa, following the activation of a mandatory purchase clause linked to the team's qualification for European competitions.
Malen initially joined Roma on loan during the recent winter transfer window, with an option to convert the deal into a permanent transfer if the club secured at least a spot in the Europa League.
Roma announced in an official statement that Malen has signed a contract lasting until June 30, 2030, ensuring his continuation with the Giallorossi for the upcoming years.
Since arriving in the Italian capital, the Dutch striker has delivered notable performances, appearing in 20 matches and netting 15 goals across various tournaments.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the mandatory purchase clause was valued at approximately 25 million euros, while the player agreed to a four-year contract.
Roma secured their European participation after Inter Milan won the Coppa Italia final against Lazio. Subsequently, coach Gasperini's team concluded the season by securing a top-four finish, guaranteeing qualification for the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League.
