Virgil van Dijk Sets Premier League Record at Nearly 35 Despite Liverpool's Struggles
Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk became the oldest player to complete every Premier League minute in a season at 34 years and 320 days old.

Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool's Dutch defender, achieved a remarkable Premier League record this season despite the team's disappointing results in the competition.
Liverpool finished fifth in the Premier League standings with 60 points, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
However, the Reds suffered 12 defeats, marking one of the worst campaigns ever recorded by reigning champions in Premier League history.
Amid these negative statistics, van Dijk became the oldest player to participate in all 38 league matches and play every minute for his team in a single Premier League season, at the age of 34 years and 320 days.
This achievement surpassed John Terry's previous record set during the 2014-2015 season with Chelsea, when Terry played every minute of every match at 34 years and 168 days old.
