Greek Yogurt with Berries and Seeds Extends Morning Fullness
Combining protein and fiber in breakfast, such as Greek yogurt with berries and seeds, helps maintain fullness and energy for hours, nutrition experts say.

If you often feel hungry soon after breakfast, the cause may lie in the types of foods you consume in the morning. A report published by the British Huffington Post highlights that combining protein and fiber in a single meal can enhance satiety and sustain energy levels for longer periods.
Nutrition specialists note that many individuals rely on meals rich in refined carbohydrates, such as breakfast cereals or pastries, which cause a rapid spike in blood sugar followed by a sudden drop, leading to hunger before lunchtime.
One widely recommended option is a dish consisting of Greek yogurt with berries, seeds, and nuts. This meal combines the protein found in yogurt with the fiber present in fruits and seeds, providing the body with a prolonged feeling of fullness.
Dr. Louisa Werner, a nutritionist interviewed for the report, explained that protein and fiber work together to stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce cravings for snacks during the morning hours. She also advises that each main meal should contain between 25 and 30 grams of protein whenever possible.
Other recommended choices include whole grain bread with cottage cheese or smoked salmon and avocado, as well as oatmeal with seeds and fruits. These foods offer a balanced mix of essential nutrients for the body.
Nutrition experts emphasize that the key is not to consume larger quantities of food but to select ingredients that provide a sense of fullness while supporting digestive health and daily energy in a balanced manner.
