In remarks reported by HuffPost, Luzon described the notion that full-fat milk is harmful to health as an "outdated concept." She explained that recent studies have not demonstrated a direct link between consuming full-fat dairy products and an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases in healthy individuals.
Luzon highlighted that the fats in milk are not merely energy sources but also contain important nutrients that assist the body in absorbing fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins A and D.
The nutritionist further noted that replacing milk with plant-based drinks is not always the superior nutritional choice, as many of these alternatives vary significantly in their protein, calcium, and essential nutrient content.
