The electoral process has launched at the Tripoli Bar Association to fill two vacant seats on the council.
At the outset of the electoral process, the Dean of Lawyers in Tripoli, Marwan Daher, affirmed that "the association faces an important professional milestone and a fundamental station in democratic life," noting that "lawyers are poised for a democratic celebration in an association with a history that has always sought to preserve freedoms and the rule of law."
He added that "differences of opinion among lawyers cannot be a cause for discord; rather, the association always unites them and stands above all considerations," pointing out that they "discuss and debate under the umbrella of love and responsibility in defending lawyers' rights and interests, enabling them to maintain their association's prestige and advancement."
He concluded by wishing success to all candidates and announced the start of the electoral process.
Today, four candidates are competing in this electoral event, two Muslims and two Christians, according to established custom. They are: Rasha Moussa and Adnan Zouk for the seat designated for Muslims, and Joseph Isaac and Wahib Al-Hawli for the seat designated for Christians.
