Aoun-Erdogan Summit... and Continuing the Path After Trump Meeting
President Joseph Aoun continues his external moves from Ankara, seeking to build on his meeting with President Trump, focusing on security, military, political, energy, and economic cooperation.

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun continues his external move from the gateway of Ankara. Nidaa al-Watan learned that President Aoun, who is holding a summit today with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, seeks to continue the path he launched during his meeting with US President Donald Trump, relying on Lebanese-Turkish relations and the role that Ankara can play in supporting Lebanon, as well as its active position in NATO and its influence on regional balances.
Accordingly, security, military, and political files, along with energy and economic cooperation, will top the summit talks. In this context, Aoun told the Anadolu Agency that Lebanon counts on Ankara to contribute to economic recovery, support the implementation of the “framework formula”, and enhance stability in southern Lebanon.
