Armed Confrontation in the "Qasr" Area.. Army Seizes Drug Vehicle and One Wanted Person Killed

Issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance the following statement:

"A patrol from the Intelligence Directorate came under fire in the Qasr area - Hermel during the execution of an operation to seize a vehicle used for transporting and manufacturing drugs, and the patrol members returned fire. As a result of the operation, the Directorate managed to seize the vehicle, while the clash resulted in the death of one of the two wanted persons, while the other fled to an unknown location and follow-up is underway to arrest him.

The seized items were handed over and an investigation has been initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
