Lebanese politician Gebran Bassil criticizes the parliament's third blanket amnesty law, questioning the government's credibility in demanding military action against Hezbollah while shielding its perpetrators.
Wrote leader of the Free Patriotic Movement MP Gebran Bassil on the platform "X": "As Lebanon recorded a bright spot in its record by abolishing the death penalty, it immediately registered a fall from grace regarding justice by enacting its third parliamentary blanket amnesty law, encouraging impunity while supposedly exempting a number of innocent victims. How can you demand, O Government of the 24 Solidary, that the army fight Hezbollah and terrorism while granting immunity to its killers?"
