Lebanon's tourism minister inaugurated a dedicated beach path for people with disabilities in Aaqbe, aiming to promote inclusive tourism.

A new pathway designed for people with disabilities has opened on the Aaqbe beach, inaugurated by Tourism Minister Laura El-Khazen Lahoud. The project aims to provide a safe and equipped seaside space that allows everyone to enjoy the summer season without barriers.
Lahoud toured the town and inspected the initiative, which was developed with the needs of people with disabilities in mind. She stressed the importance of supporting humanitarian and social projects that reflect Lebanon's cultural image, and emphasized the necessity of providing facilities that guarantee equal access to the sea and tourism services for all.
The project was launched in the presence of Aaqbe Mayor Alain Aoun, Mukhtar Milad Al-Zaylaa, Mukhtar Antoine Latif, and members of the municipal council. Lahoud described the initiative as a distinctive step for the Aaqbe area, combining both humanitarian and tourism dimensions while reinforcing the concept of social integration and the right of people with special needs to recreation and a dignified life.
