Beri carries an urgent message to Washington... Hezbollah ready for immediate ceasefire

The website "Axios" revealed, quoting Ali Hamdan, the senior advisor to the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Beri, that Beri informed the administration of US President Donald Trump that "Hezbollah" is ready for a full and immediate commitment to a comprehensive ceasefire with Israel, with Lebanon prepared to provide guarantees for implementing any potential agreement.

According to the report, Beri conveyed this position to the US Ambassador in Beirut, Michel Issa, stressing that the solution is not based on a partial truce, but on a comprehensive cessation of military operations by land, air, and sea, including the cessation of Israeli raids and house demolition operations in southern Lebanon.

Hamdan pointed out that "Hezbollah" is ready for full commitment to a ceasefire, noting that there are communication channels between Beri and the Secretary-General of the party, Sheikh Naim Qassem, which allows the transmission of messages and understandings between the two parties.

In contrast, "Axios" quoted American and Israeli officials expressing their skepticism about the possibility of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepting this proposal, despite an Israeli official confirming that the party has expressed its readiness for a ceasefire without stipulating an immediate Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.

This development comes amid escalating tension on the Lebanese front, with Israeli threats to expand strikes to include Beirut, and Iranian warnings that the continuation of Israeli escalation could reflect on the course of indirect negotiations with the United States.
