Speaker of Parliament Nabih Beri received former Prime Minister Najib Mikati at Ain al-Tineh, where they discussed the latest developments in the general situation and political and field updates in light of Israel's continued aggression against Lebanon and public affairs.

He also followed up with Minister of Public Health Rakan Nasser al-Din on the conditions of the health, hospital, and emergency sectors in light of Israel's continued aggression against the south and its systematic targeting of emergency teams and health centers.

Minister Nasser al-Din said after the meeting: "These are difficult days we are going through, and everyone sees the brutality of the Israeli aggression, the latest of which are messages of fire to the city of Tyre and the town of al-Mansouri, and the targeting that affects civilians and all health sectors. Lebanon, especially the south, continues to bleed as a result of the relentless Israeli aggression."

He added: "Of course, we continue to serve. We briefed the President of the Republic on the conditions of the health and hospital sectors and the health reality in the face of Israeli threats targeting government hospitals and the targeting that affected paramedics and ambulances. We shared with him the measures taken by the Ministry of Health to serve the displaced continuously. And of course, we shared the political reality, developments, and efforts being made to find a solution, always emphasizing the sole and fundamental demand for a comprehensive ceasefire on land, sea, and air, along with stopping Israeli attacks, and of course the demand for withdrawal is certainly fundamental in this regard. The existing visions 'if you want' are being cooked internally with the President of the Republic through efforts and communication."

Among Beri's visitors: the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, on a farewell visit on the occasion of the end of her mission in Lebanon.
