Israel Aerospace Industries and other military manufacturing entities in Israel have presented the Ministry of Defense and the military with a set of solutions to deal with the problem of explosive drones operating with fiber-optic technology.

The Hebrew newspaper "Maariv" reported that among the solutions promoted by the defense industries are a kinetic interception system and power-based systems, including a system relying on electromagnetic force that is supposed to intercept the drone and paralyze its movement.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense is currently testing various types of solutions presented to it by those institutions, as the ministry tests "prototypes" at the (MAFAT) center affiliated with the ministry.

Israeli estimates indicate that the Ministry of Defense is expected to decide, within a short period, to adopt and approve a set of solutions to confront the threat posed by Hezbollah's explosive offensive drones.

The newspaper quoted Boaz Levy, CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, as saying, "Once we are given the green light from the Ministry of Defense, we will be able to enter the accelerated production phase."

Levy added, "It is possible to supply an initial range of defense means within a few weeks, and comprehensive supply that fully meets the threat within just a few months."

He noted that engineers from Israel Aerospace Industries volunteered to find a solution to this threat even before receiving an official request from the security establishment, and we are working hard to find the appropriate technology.

Israel Aerospace Industries indicates that there are several ideas from various fields to confront this threat, but the maturity of each of these solutions is not yet known.

According to the Hebrew newspaper, the Ministry of Defense is currently sorting and studying available solutions and technologies, and examining how to integrate solutions to meet the challenge of drones targeting soldiers.

It confirmed that estimates indicate there are several technological trends in the Israeli defense industries capable of addressing this threat, and their development and preparation path may be relatively short.

The newspaper pointed out that Hezbollah's explosive drones have become a real threat to the lives of Israeli army fighters in the recent war.

During this week alone, as "Maariv" newspaper says, a number of incidents occurred resulting in serious injuries, the latest and most prominent of which was last night.

The Israeli army announced that a force of its troops in southern Lebanon was targeted by a drone, resulting in injuries to 8 of its officers and soldiers of varying degrees, one of whom was a female soldier in serious condition.
