Comprehensive Boycott of Exams... and a Call for Sit-In!
The official education unions and contracting committees held a meeting via Google Meet, announcing a boycott of official exams for secondary and vocational education, deeming it a national and union duty after the authority blocked dialogue with arbitrary decisions.

The official education unions and contracting committees held a meeting yesterday evening via the "Google Meet" application, at the conclusion of which they announced a "boycott of official exams, secondary and vocational," considering that this step has become "an urgent necessity and a national and union duty," after the authority blocked all avenues of dialogue with its arbitrary decisions.
They stated in a statement: "The decision issued by the Council of Ministers to adopt a suspicious passing grade (9.5/20) is an unjust decision that lacks the minimum standards of educational justice, undermines the principle of equal opportunity, and throws more than 6,000 students into the abyss of the unknown and class and educational discrimination."
They also considered that "the Ministry of Education's insistence on holding exams under the current security and psychological conditions pushes it toward escalation," noting that "adopting the same passing grade in all grades except the ninth grade raises question marks about fairness in applying standards."
The attendees issued an appeal to deputies, calling on them to "reject the decision and work to pressure the government and the Ministry of Education to retreat from it, and adopt an exceptional solution that grants official certificates to all candidate students," considering that this "constitutes the fairest option under current circumstances."
The unions and committees announced a series of steps, most notably:
"A comprehensive boycott of official exam work, including monitoring, supervision, and correction, by tenured and contract teachers.
Demanding a retreat from the Council of Ministers' decision and adopting official certificates for all candidate students.
A call to participate in a sit-in coinciding with the session of the House of Representatives, to pressure for a response to their demands."
They affirmed their adherence to "escalation," considering that "the unity of teachers and their commitment to the boycott constitute a means to defend teachers' rights and preserve educational justice and the future of students."
