Lebanon's Consumer Protection Directorate reported conducting 18,172 field inspections and issuing 924 violation reports since the beginning of the year.

The Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Trade announced in a statement that it "conducted 18,172 field inspections from the beginning of the year until October 2, and issued 924 violation reports against offenders as part of its oversight campaigns across Lebanese territories."
The statement indicated that "the Directorate received 1,925 consumer complaints during the same period via the Ministry of Economy and Trade's electronic application, MoET Digital Services. The Ministry renewed its call for citizens and consumers to file complaints regarding any violations they observe, either through the application or via the Consumer Association-Lebanon hotline (01750650)."
It noted that "in one week, from September 28 to October 2, the Consumer Protection Directorate responded to 190 consumer complaints and conducted 492 field inspections, resulting in the issuance of 37 violation reports against offenders."
