Customs Seizes Large Quantity of Smuggled Devices and Equipment Intended for Beauty and Weight Loss Centers

The General Directorate of Customs announced in a statement that the Anti-Smuggling Unit in Saida, following surveillance and monitoring operations, managed to seize a large quantity of smuggled devices and equipment intended for several beauty and weight loss centers, without holding the required health licenses. These devices are used in cosmetic treatments, skin care, massage, laser hair removal, and other medical applications.

The unit detained the violators and referred them to the competent judicial authority, where they remain under investigation. Necessary reports were compiled, and appropriate legal actions were taken against them under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

The General Directorate of Customs affirmed its commitment to continuing efforts to combat smuggling in all its forms, particularly those involving devices and equipment directly linked to public health and safety, and to take legal action against offenders in coordination with the competent judiciary.
