Cyprus Foreign Minister Calls Lebanese Counterpart to Express Support

Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, يوسف رجي, received a phone call from Cyprus' Foreign Minister, كونستانتينوس كومبوس, who congratulated him on Lebanon's signing of the framework agreement with Israel under American sponsorship. كومبوس expressed hope that this agreement would mark the beginning of a process restoring stability and security for the Lebanese people and reinforcing the state's sovereignty over its territory and decisions.

كومبوس affirmed Cyprus and the European Union's support for Lebanon during this critical period and extended an official invitation to Minister رجي to visit Cyprus.

In response, رجي thanked his Cypriot counterpart for the supportive stance expressed by نيقوسيا, emphasizing that the Lebanese government's priority remains ensuring the complete Israeli withdrawal, the deployment of the Lebanese army, and the completion of the plan to confine weapons exclusively to the state. رجي pledged to accept the invitation and visit the island at the earliest opportunity.
