Dar Al-Fatwa Announces Hijri New Year Starting June 16, 2026

Dar Al-Fatwa issued the following statement:

It announced that the beginning of the new Hijri year 1448 AH corresponds to Tuesday, the sixteenth of June 2026 in the Gregorian calendar.

The Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan, congratulated the Lebanese people in general and Muslims in particular on the occasion of the new Hijri year, praying to God Almighty to grant stability, security, and peace in Lebanon and the region, and to make it a year of goodness, blessings, and prosperity.
