The Lebanese International University in Beirut experienced a false fire alarm at 8:03 AM, prompting evacuation and safety protocols without any injuries reported.

The Beirut branch of the Lebanese International University reported that its fire alarm system was activated at 8:03 in the morning, leading to the implementation of evacuation procedures in line with safety protocols and immediate notification of the relevant authorities.
According to a statement from the university, inspections conducted by its team, the responsible company, and the civil defense confirmed that no fire was present. Instead, the alarm was triggered automatically, causing gases to spread inside the building.
The university added that it is currently working with experts to assess the situation, identify the reasons behind the alarm activation, and inspect all safety systems on campus.
It was emphasized that no injuries occurred among students, faculty, staff, or visitors. The university continues its operations as usual, except for postponing the exams scheduled for today at the Beirut branch to a later date to allow the technical team to evaluate the situation and learn from the incident.
